Music lovers gathered at the iconic Heide Museum on the first Saturday in Feburary for an electrifying open-air experience hosted by Untitled and Not Without Friends—a DJ collective comprised of Naarm’s own Jordan Brando, Luke Alessi, and Will Kiss. Under the open sky, amidst art and amongst nature, the collective delivered a day-to-night event offering deep rhythms, immersive lighting, and high energy.
Not Without Friends are signed under Rose Avenue Records. The label, owned by globally renowned trio RÜFÜS DU SOL, has become a platform for innovative and boundary-pushing artists in the electronic music scene, making it the perfect home for this Melbourne-based trio.

Unwavering Atmosphere
Despite the sweltering heat wave that swept through Melbourne earlier in the day, the enthusiasm of event goers remained unwavering. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Heide Museum grounds transformed into a glowing spectacle of red-hued lighting sifting through the towering trees. Mist swirling under beams of flashing lights, enhanced the ethereal atmosphere - a dreamlike setting that felt both intimate and expansive.
As darkness took over, the stage lighting intensified, perfectly synced to the progression of the music that built in intensity as the evening progressed. Starting with deep, grooving rhythms, they gradually increased the BPM, taking the audience on a seamless ascent through layers of house, techno, and percussive-driven tracks. Each sound contributed to an evolving, organic set that kept bodies moving.
Designed for Immersion
The layout of the event added to its appeal—one central stage fostered a unified spirit, while surrounding chill-out zones, scattered with park benches allowed attendees to take a breather and bask in the ambience. Dancing in the thick of the crowd or lounging under the trees, every guest had the perfect vantage point.
